Description
Designed for 7th generation Kaby Lake processors and VR (virtual reality) applications, the GA-Z270M-D3H LGA 1151 Micro-ATX Motherboard from Gigabyte is designed to fit in cases that support the ATX form factor. It supports 6th and 7th generation Intel Core i7, i5, i3, Pentium, and Celeron processors in the LGA 1151 package and the Intel Z270 Express chipset. This motherboard supports Windows 10 (64-bit) with 7th generation processors and Windows 10 (64-bit), 8.1 (64-bit), and 7 (32/64-bit) with 6th generation processors.
The micro-ATX form factor of the GA-Z270M-D3H has four DIMM slots that can support up to 64GB of DDR4 UDIMM RAM, as well as dual-channel memory architecture and Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) memory modules. The supported memory speeds are DDR4 3866 (OC), 3800 (OC), 3733 (OC), 3666 (OC), 3600 (OC), 3466 (OC), 3400 (OC), 3333 (OC), 3300 (OC), 3200 (OC), 3000 (OC), 2800 (OC), 2666 (OC), 2400 (OC), and 2133 MHz memory modules.
The GA-Z270M-D3H has a total of 6 x SATA III 6 Gb/s ports, 3 x SATA Express ports, and 1 x M.2 Socket 3 port that supports type 2242, 2260, 2280, and 22110 SATA SSDs and PCIe 3.0 x4/x2 SSDs. Internal expansion is accomplished using 1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slot running at x16, 1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slot running at x4, and 2 x PCI slots, while USB connectivity is achieved using 1 x USB 3.0 Type-C port, 8 x USB 3.0 ports (6 on the back panel, 2 internal) and 4 x USB 2.0/1.1 ports (internal). There is also 1 x PS/2 port (back panel). Using the Realtek ALC892 codec, this motherboard can support 2, 4, 5.1, and 7.1-channel HD audio using its 6 x 3.5mm audio jacks.
The GA-Z270M-D3H supports integrated Intel HD Graphics and is able to output video to up to three simultaneous displays. It is equipped with an HDMI 1.4 port that supports a maximum resolution of 4096 x 2160 @ 24 Hz and both DVI-D and VGA ports that support a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz.
